This painting is undated. The catalog of The Guild of Boston Artists show titles the painting as “At the Window,” however, in an American Art Review article included with the list of artwork in the show it is titled, “Reflections.”
The catalog describes the painting as follows:
“This picture was sold at Millet’s estate sale as item No. 69, for the sum of $95. The catalogue gives its setting as Millet’s home in Broadway, England, and gives the following description: ‘Young, fair-haired and comely, a plump young woman with blue eyes and pink cheeks has seated herself in the embrasure of an open window and gazes in pensive meditation at a small medallion portrait. She weas a loose white lawn gown, low at the neck. The window is flooded with sunlight and outside is seen a tangle of brilliant yellowish greenery.
